Tyga Kicks Off

Tyga Kicks Off “Closer To My Dreams” Tour in L.A. with All-Star Cast

Just about a year and a half ago, a supposed list of the upcoming releases on YMCMB was leaked across the Internet. A surprise for even the artists listed, the release dates eventually led to speculation and rumors about who was really signed to YMCMB, and if they would ever actually come out with a project.
Amidst the success and literal shine of Birdman, Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj, it seemed like it would be tough for Cash Money/Young Money’s other artists to get recognition on the crowded lineup. But over the years, Los Angeles born and raised rapper Tyga has made his mark and proved the naysayers wrong, as he has separated himself from the pack with several major radio successes over the years.
Tuesday night proved that as Tyga kicked off his “Closer To My Dreams” Tour with a host of friends and fellow rappers, including but not limited to Chris Brown, Game, Wiz Khalifa, Kirko Bangz, MGK, Dom Kennedy, Iggy Azalea, and Cash Out.
Yeah, Tyga has his songs like “Faded” and “Rack City” that are anthems across the country on major radio stations, but as he tirelessly went through roughly 30 songs, fans were given a closer look at the body of work compiled by Tyga and the talent that Wayne signed up. Performing the Young Money hit “Bedrock,” his “Dueces” collaboration with Chris Brown, and “Celebration” with Game, Wiz and Chris Brown, Tyga rapped non-stop for a packed house at Los Angeles’ Nokia Club Theater in downtown L.A.
Before Tyga’s set, LA Reid signee and protege, Cash Out, performed a quick set followed by Iggy Azalea, who came out in a nude and glitter-colored two piece.
After the show, everyone went to Supper Club, one of Chris Brown and Tyga’s frequented locations in L.A. Accompanied by Wiz and several other artists like Bad Boy’s Los, Tyga proved that he is, in fact, currently one of the most successful rap artists putting out music. And according to him, he is, in fact, a “king” – at least in L.A., as his clothing brand and label imprint, “Last King”, suggests.

Tyga Brings the Heat in Tulisa’s Beach Party

Tyga Brings the Heat in Tulisa’s Beach Party

British singer Tulisa is getting the party started right with her summertime video ‘Live It up’ featuring Young Money rapper Tyga. The song, produced by hitmaker Rico Love, will hit the iTunes store on Sept. 9.
Tulisa (full name Tulisa Contostavlos) is part of the “British Invasion” that has swept the United States within the past year. She joins fellow Brits like the Wanted, Rita Ora, Conor Maynard and Cher Lloyd who traveled across the pond looking to crack the pop market stateside. So does Tulisa have to chops to make here in the states? After watching her video, it’s an unanimous yes for us.
In the Colin Tilley-directed clip, Tulisa is the host of a fun-filled luau on a Hawaiian beach and everyone is getting lei-ed. The party gets livelier by the minute as we see people dancing to the bumping sounds and fire twirlers are heating things up with their blazing-hot performance. “We should pop more champagne this year than last year / We should live like it’s the only life we get, there’s nothing else past it,” Tulisa sings over the bongo-driven, dancehall-tinged banger.
The 24-year-old songbird also parades on the beach in several different titillating outfits including a colorful pink bikini with a yellow-colored fishnet top that covers her naughty bits. There’s also shots of Tulisa wearing a pink bra and flora capri pants that are perfect for the nighttime beach party scenes.
Rapper Tyga crashes party and adds his luxury rhymes to the track. “Skinny fly n—a / Big icey watch / The Rolls gone wild / The car ain’t got no top,” he spits. “I’m into ballin’ and being cocky and showing off / Single-handily killing y’all, don’t get involved.”
Overall, Tulisa’s video is a good introduction for people who not familiar with her. If she stays focused (and sticks with Rico Love), Tulisa has a shot of making some noise on the music charts.

Tyga Became Target of Gunshots After His Concert in Omaha

Tyga Became Target of Gunshots After His Concert in Omaha

Gunfires were aimed at Tyga's van and trailer after he finished a live concert at Sokol Auditorium in south of downtown Omaha. The rapper fortunately escaped the shots unscathed, but two of his entourage were wounded and one of them needed treatment.

Female rapper Honey Cocaine, whose real name Sochitla Sal, was wounded in her arm and was taken to Creighton University Medical Center. Another victim, Derrick Lowe, was grazed by a bullet on his hip but refused treatment.

"Got shot and I'm not dead. #LoveLifeAndGod," Honey tweeted. "What happened, happened. God loves me and he loves you." Tyga, meanwhile, wrote on his page, "Let's be clear them was haters not fans. My fans love me and I love them."

According to police, the shots were unleashed from a black four-door sedan as Tyga and his associates boarded their tour bus to leave the venue. More shots were fired from the vehicle as it followed the group for a few blocks.

Earlier in the night, Tyga exchanged heated words with some concertgoers inside the Auditorium. Before delivering his single "Rack City", he confronted the audience members after some garbage was thrown to the stage.

"Who threw this s**t? Who threw it? You threw it? ... alright, see my outside," he said before adding moments later, "For real, you can meet me outside. I'm gonna do this one more motherf**king song for my fans and them I'm gonna go outside you b***h-a** ni**a."

A brief fight broke out as people left the building after the show, just before the gunfires. Police are still investigating the incident, and cite a disturbance during the concert as a trigger to the shooting. No arrest has been made.

Tyga Reveals That...

Tyga Reveals That ‘Well Done 3′ Mixtape Is Complete and ‘Fan of a Fan 2′ Album is Half Done

Tyga Well Done 3 Mixtape

Tyga announces that his “Well Done 3” mixtape is complete, and he is looking to release Chris Brown collaborative “Fan of a Fan 2″ as an album later this year.
After recently releasing the cover art for his upcoming “Well Done 3″ mixtape, Tyga reveals that the project is actually complete, and just needs the final touches before releasing.
“Well Done 3 is actually done, I just need to mix it.  It’s actually been done for a few weeks,” Tyga told HNHH, “Well Done 3, that’s just raw shit mother f*ckers just wanna hear you know what I’m saying. I just made that shit to bang homie, you know what I’m saying?”
Since announcing that he would be teaming up with R&B superstar Chris Brown for a follow up to their “Fan of a Fan” mixtape, fans have been begging for the details. Tyga reveals that he and Chris Brown will actually be releasing the project as an album versus a mixtape like the original.
“Fan of a Fan 2, we started working on that and it’s half way done,” he continued, “I mean Fan of Fan is definitely gonna be crazy you know what I’m saying, and we’re actually releasing that one probably as an album. We gotta few singles that we gon drop before, we got some surprises for people and I don’t wanna give anything away.”

Tyga Proclaims Drake and Chris Brown Beef

Tyga Proclaims Drake and Chris Brown Beef Is Nothing More Than Media Hype

Young Money’s own Tyga dishes his thoughts on the ongoing beef between fellow YMCMB superstar Drake and Chris Brown.
The media headlines have been buzzing over the past few weeks with a potential pay-per-view fight set to go down between music superstars Drake and Chris Brown. After an altercation in the club, it seems that we can’t go a single day without someone mentioning the feud, and today is no different.
This time around though we have a source a bit closer to the action in Tyga. The young west coast rapper is good friends with Chris Brown, in fact they have their ‘Fan of a Fan 2′ mixtape on the way, and he’s friends with label mate Drake.
Tyga recently stopped by the Canadian show ‘New.Music.Live’ to give his two pennies on the feud between Chris Brown and Drake.
“I don’t think it’s like a real beef,” Tyga said in an interview. “It’s the media and stuff just blowing it up. But at the end of the day, I’m friends with both of them. It’s like high school, you got competition. You got the popular people that are always in competition. That’s really what it is at the end of the day. I would love to see them make music together and squash everything.”

Tyga and Big Sean Weigh

Tyga and Big Sean Weigh in on Chris Brown + Drake’s Feud

Chris Brown Tyga Drake Big Sean

Most of the hip-hop world attended the BET Awards on Sunday night (July 1), and most of them have an opinion on the intense beef between Chris Brown and Drake, especially following their nightclub fight. At the festivities, performer Tyga and Best New Artist winner Big Sean waxed wise on the feud.Tyga, who is on Drake’s label but a frequent Breezy collaborator, may be the ultimate diplomat. “Nobody wants to see them beef,” he told MTV News. “They both make great music, they’re both talented, but at the end of the day, as men, they have to figure out what they want to do. Chris is my brother, Drake is family too, so it’s like at the end of the day, they gotta handle that like men,” he added. “It’s like nobody else can mediate that, and it’s like that’s how it goes sometimes.”
Big Sean shared similar sentiments. “Hopefully they get it resolved, honestly, man,” Sean said. “People ain’t got no time for no beef. People ain’t got no time to be beefin’. We workin’ too hard for our fam, for our kids, our unborn kids to have a bright future. Nobody got no time for that.” Sean was quick to add, “I’m real good friends with Chris. I’mma make sure I tell him that to his face.”
Pusha T, Big Sean’s G.O.O.D. Music cohort, used the opportunity to praise Brown’s lyrics without necessarily commenting on the actual feud. “Chris is so artistic, man,” Push said in regards to Brown’s Drake diss track. “He’s just a free spirit, so you just gotta like it and accept it for what it is. Lyrically, I think he gets busy. He’s a writer.”
The emcees join Nicki Minaj, who also expressed her opinion on the beef and brawl — except she sided with Drake. “Young Money till the death of me. I don’t approve of talented people doing things that aren’t conducive to an amazing career,” she said pointedly. “And so — you know — I spoke to Drake and I told him from the bottom of my heart how I felt. I’m like, ‘Baby you are a superstar, and I need you to realize that.’ He did nothing wrong of course, rumors are rumors, but I told him to remember who you are.”
Only time will tell what really went down, but we just hope they can get along. Maybe a collaboration is in order!

Honey Cocaine Who Shot Me

Honey Cocaine Who Shot Me

It was just a flesh wound!
Tyga's artist Honey Cocaine has recovered and found her way back to the mic. She vents over a retooled Biggie Smalls' "Who Shot Ya" beat about the gunfire to Tyga's tour bus in Omaha, Nebraska that left her shot in the arm sometime in March.
DETAILS: Shots Fired - Literally! Tyga's Tour Bus Hit With Bullets!
The song is called "Who Shot Me" and is basically a synopsis of the occurrence, and appreciation for being alive in a situation that could've easily turned from already bad to worse.
The Harsh Reality Of Guns & Hip-Hop!
She raps:
"Who shot ya, said the mothaf*ckin' doctor/Sh*t I don't know, just touring with my partner/They got the story mixed and sh*t with their own version, a different sh*t.The same night I prayed to God, just thanking the holy father he made a star, and sh*t a youngin' still ain't die."
If you weren't privy to the golden-haired Toronto native literally biting the bullet, this song will definitely have you informed.
"Who Shot Me" is off her forthcoming 90's Gold The Diary tape hosted by DJ Ill Will.
